The literal meaning of Kushmanda is a pumpkin. Pumpkin is a vegetable that is very rich in prana. It is spherical and implies the subtle life force energy – prana which is total and complete.
“Ku” signifies small, “Anda” the cosmic egg or sphere, “sh” means the energy, thus Kushmanda is the energy which is present in the smallest as well as the largest in the entire creation.
Thus one should feel the abundance and fullness in one’s life by elevating oneself to the supreme intelligence of Mother divine. The divine energy is present within everyone in the form of prana. Seeing this awakened intelligence in all beings is Kushmanda.
Hence she is the creator of the universe and a symbol of prosperity and abundance. Thus, focus on gratitude, cultivate a positive mindset and be the creator of your goals and destiny.
