He persevered… the darkness of the room and height of the walls not dampening his spirit. Bound in shackles and tortured for hours… starved and overworked.. .yet he endured. The continous roar of the sea his only companion. As he leaned against the pole he was tied to he composed songs for the nation he loved so dearly.
