What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?
Today’s world has reached a level of sophistication wherein we think of comforts and luxuries. With the basic necessities being met and increase in standard of living in many parts of the world seeking comfort is naturally the next level.
But I believe we have become too comfortable leading to impact on health and day to day life skills.
Once upon a time human race were gatherers of food and lived their lives with full awareness of their surroundings. There were cautious of every sound every rustling they heard. They defended themselves from the fury of nature and wild animals and survived to today’s time.
Fast forward to today’s world we have food available at our doorstep at a few clicks on the smart phone, information at our fingertips and machines to make our coffee, clean the place, wash dishes and AI to do our homework and job related work. There is hardly anything that challenges us like before.
So we had to come up with adventure rides, gymming, nature trips etc to get a feel of the real world once in a while.
The point of discussing all these is that we should try to find a balance between the confort we seek and healthy habits. We should indulge in activities that keep us healthy like walking, cleaning our houses, helping in the neighbourhood, avoiding use of AI for school assignments and stimulating the brain cells instead.
So as a generation that has access to luxury, let us build our lives on healthy and sustainable choices and step outside our confort zones time to time.
