Nostalgia is a sentimental longing for a period in the past and it takes us back to the days which we cherished. Taking a sneak peak into the past and rejoicing in the memories for a while is fine. However, being stuck in the past failing to live the present is a waste of your life.

It is best to pick up your lessons learnt, value the times enjoyed and move on, as how ever hard you may try those days will never come back. Those moments shared with friends and loved ones will never be the same, those people will never be the same. We need to accept this and move on. As a Greek philosopher once said, Change is the only constant.

Make new friends and relationships, create new memories and moments all the time respecting the people in your past who were responsible for the wonderful memories and letting go of your grudges towards them.

Let’s live life fully in the moment so that every snapshot in the past will be nostalgic forever. Wishing you a year filled with love and success and the happy colours of life leading to wonderful memories in the future.

What makes you feel nostalgic?
