He sat there perched on his pedestal looking all around him. His once prospering kingdom in ruins. All pupils non existent and kingdom just a namesake title. The once huge mansion just reduced to this pedestal.

As he sat there, his body reduced to bones and barely existing he thought back to the life he lived. The battles fought, lives slayed, atrocities committed…all for the fulfilment of greed.. but little did he know that this was the end he would recieve.

He sat there cursing his predecessors and ancestors who filled this thirst for blood, revenge and greed in his veins… who made him what he was. He thought what he could have done if he had a different upbringing… maybe he would have been a trader travelling the world and maybe he would have married the love of his life. maybe they would have had a beautiful world of their own… filled with love and caring.

Instead she had committed suicide at the thought of marrying him… the most brutal person. The tears of her departure had parched his throat and eyes and the agony fuelled more destruction and tyranny.

As he thought back to the day he realised how pios she was and how barbaric was he!
