Every creature in the cosmos comes with an expiry date. Some live for a few moments whereas others persist for eons. But one reality is certain that death is inevitable.
Change and impermanence is a part of life. Our opinions today could change tomorrow, our situations will definitely change some day. No wonder it is said that nothing is permanent except for change.
The expanding galaxies to the contracting black holes, everyone will be one day swallowed into the belly of the timeless passage of time.
This realization is something that we need to keep close to our hearts. The knowledge that we are mortal beings, the understanding that the next moment maybe our last, the comprehension that time may not always be our friend.
When this fact is linked with our daily activities and interactions, we start to live more joyfully, savouring every minute like the blessing it is.
Getting into arguments and fights, taking guilt trips or selfish actions are of to no use as ultimately they will disappear into the clutches of time. However, what will remain behind is the memories we live behind.
Have we been loving or considerate or rude and selfish? Understanding and compassionate or spiteful and arrogant.? Just as our actions precede us similarly they also survive the longest.. even beyond our time.
So does it mean we give up?
Absolutely not. It means we live up. Live up more. Observe life with so much interest and awe, plan your goals and missions with aim to create positive repercussions even after you no longer exist. Make positive changes and take care of the precious life you carry.
Don’t let it wilt with laziness or jealousy neither let it pass away with guilt and uncertainty.
Take the steps walk the actions. Let them be imperfect let them be full of challenges and learning. It will only help you grow stronger to better serve humanity for the time you are on earth, leaving behind a void too large to fill.
Live up before death catches up
Things that are absolutely certain
