Dare not ask a working mother her morning ritualIt starts at dawn or even earlierGetting the breakfast done or lunch boxes readyIs the least of her concernsGetting the kids to be on timeIs her greatest worry!And why so do you say?Oh just the sheer times they fall back asleep or create a ruckus is infuriating And then it is a chaos finding the uniform, ties and shoesAnd yet feeding morsels in the tiny mouths is a time-consuming deed Time passes in a jiffyAnd the school bus is at the doorstep alreadyLast minute books and pencilsAnd adjusting the ties and hairRushing to the gate and then a hurried goodbyeAnd before she takes a breath she realisesIt is almost time to be ready for office!
