Describe one positive change you have made in your life.

Now that I think of it here are few positive changes I have made.

1. Avoiding fast food for me and my family as much as possible. Fast foods are loaded with sugars and salts and permitted chemicals which when consumed frequently can cause obesity, cardiovascular diseases and obesity even in children and young people.

2. A yoga routine including meditation : yoga and meditation helps us keep our body fit and mind calm, thus reducing stress and diseases associated with it like depression, hypertension, diabetes etc.

3. Decreased social media time: I have resolved to decrease the time spent on useless activities on the mobile phone instead replaced them with fruitful work like reading, writing, watching educational videos on youtube, spending time with kids etc. Further I have limited my time spent on entertainment videos and apps so that I can focus my attention on important work. Removing such apps from home screen has been a great help in keeping me motivated.

4. Avoiding purchase of harmful/ non reusable materials : I have stopped using aluminium and non stick cookware due to their well known harmful effects. I have also limited purchase of plastic containers in preference to stainless steel, glass or terracotta containers. Further I try to reuse all materials as much as possible before tossing them away. I have also minimized use of synthetic clothing and moved to use of natural fibres like cotton, jute and silk. Just a small effort at my end to reduce the workload on mother nature.

However, having said so there are some issues I am still struggling with these include finding time for a daily walk, keeping myself motivated to pursue my passion in writing or sketching etc. However, I hope to be able to overcome them soon.
