Without a computer our lives would be the same as that during our childhood. Lots of nostalgic memories, occasional phone calls and one channel on the television.
Although computers have their benefits they have their side effects too. They hamper our creativity and decrease our social interaction. They connect us to strangers but distance us from our near ones. I feel life without a computer would be more relaxed than the busy time frames we now work with.
I wish there was a restriction in how much technology we can use in a day. A few hours of compulsory non phone use should be strictly incorporated in our routine. That time should be used for productive activities with friends and family. Like cooking, playing non screen games, sharing the day’s experiences etc. The children of today are immersed in gadgets but they also need to get a slice of the childhood we experienced. How we shared bikes and played group games, how we sat together to watch movies or how we invented new games in our spare time!
Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
