She stood at the brink of the reservoir contemplating her options

Her rank, stature and family did not matter anymore

Staring at her reflection in the vast expanse of the watery grave

She steeled herself as she turned around

She will not succumb… societal pressure and hardships will not mould her life she decided

As she walked away leaving behind a life of failure and disappointment, I will survive….
