There was a guy, always happy and cheerful. He worked as a waiter at a small restaurant. He performed his duties with a smile on his face. Customers usually liked his behaviour and left him hefty tips. The restaurant owner was also happy as he was a magnet for people to visit the place again and again.
One day he met with an accident and lost his limbs. He was depressed and sad. His cheerful smile was gone and he was full of remorse. He cursed the fateful day and his stars and God. He wondered what he had done wrong to deserve such a state.
He was lost and devastated. He did not know what to do with his life now? How to earn a living.
His mother urged him to look for jobs that he could do from home. She asked him not to give up hope. He was reluctant initially but after a few months he got onto the internet in search of job opportunities.
As he searched the net for opportunities for the differently abled he came accross the profile of Stephen Hawking. He read it with great interest. He was inspired by the work he had done from a wheelchair. He realised how much in a better position he was! He had only lost his legs but his arms and rest of his body was still intact!
He decided he would also be an inspiration to someone. He actively started pursuing jobs and finally found one. He also enrolled for painting sessions. His love for painting since childhood had taken a backseat in his adult life. Thus he rekindled the interest again.
Everytime he felt like giving up the poster of Stephen Hawking above his bed smiled at him. Making him more stronger and determined.
Thus he grew his horizons and started selling his paintings. Their demands started to increase and he was selling his paintings around the world.
He was once a again the cheerful guy at the restaurant but this time he having braved the challenges of life he knew how to maintain the bubbly life within. He embraced the child within him once more, making his life more happy and fulfilled.
Do you also have a story within you? Have you evoked the inner child full of innocence and forgiveness? One that let’s go of all the negatives and unpleasant circumstances. One who lives in the moment ever cheerful, ever conscious? If not set yourself on this quest immediately and find life blossom around you.
