I maybe just a rock On the river bedBut i do know how it feels being continously abraded tooThe water gushing out with intense forceCarving my body as it flows Making sharp edges or smooth endsBut i have no say as I continue to stand I persevere for eons togetherEmbedded within are the secretsOf the generations of creation and destruction I have been a witness To the good and uglyIn this world I have seen its journey Yet I continue to do my dutyBe a support to the river mighty The one which is a giver of lifeMy petty efforts towards a larger purpose I am just a rock On the river bedDevoted lovingly to my duty unto eternity
