Unpredictable Life

There was a time when people used to visit me for personal fittings, alterations and customized designs. Then there were hats along with belts to match.

But the technology boom gave a punch to the gut. Shoe making was no more a skill based affair of the few. It was commercialized with many brands having varied designs and patterns. More over they were sold online and available pretty soon.

I had to look for newer avenues. However, my frail hands refuse to learn anything new.

My handcrafted shoes still lie packed. Unused. A reminder of how bitter and unpredictable life can be…

In response to Friday Fictioneers.
