Favoritism and hatred, likes and dislikes, beauty and ugliness these are all perceptions created by the mind. Every creature on the planet has been born with a specific purpose. Every tiny living being even microscopic bacteria fulfil a purpose. It may be simply converting food into compost or it may be just transferring pollen from flowers. Unknowingly they play an important part in the ecosystem.

But what about humans? Why are we caught in the web of love and hatred? Why are entangled in the concept of “what people will say?” Why have we made life, that is a simple ocurance for every being, complicated for ourselves?

We are too stuck in the dramatics of our mind to see how beautiful life is. To notice the tiny  incidents that make our life worthy. We  value neither the good that we take for granted nor the bad that leaves us with learnings.

I feel having a favourite  animal or a pet is just how we want to imagine them to be. Unlike people they are non manipulative. However being in the company of people who test your patience is a challenge that one goes through to emerge stronger.

Hence, every moment be mindful of the ticking time. You never know how much more you have left. Be grateful for still being able to survive the negativity around, because not every one will survive the next moment.  Talk to yourself… know your thoughts… bring your mind to the centre of your being. Every night before going to bed.. know that you are loved and blessed.

Start your mindfulness practice today and witness a change in the way you see the world.

What is your favorite animal?
