बुद्धियुक्तो जहातीह उभे सुकृतदुष्कृते | तस्माद्योगाय युज्यस्व योग: कर्मसु कौशलम् || 50||

One who practices the science of work without attachment can get rid of both good and bad reactions in this life itself. Therefore, strive for Yog, which is the art of  skill in action.

The Bhagavad Gita Quote above emphasizes the importance of being skillful while performing our duties. It implies that we should be centred within ourself while committing any act. But often we find ourselves swayed by emotions and circumstances which lead us away from our inner core of peace and blissfulness.

Thus, we need to strive for achieving the equanimity where we are centred yet doing our duties by being immersed in the blissfulness within.

Although easily said, one is swayed from this from  time to time but the real skill lies in realising this and coming back to the centre.  Just like the waves of the ocean lapping the shores return to the calm centre, so should we performing our duties return to the inner peace within.
