What do you love about where you live?

Bharat, also known as India, a land of diverse cultures, customs, cuisines and much more. A multilingual, multi ethnic country with mutual love and respect woven into the social fabric.  Hence, what is not to love in such a land that has a very ancient history and accomplishments,  much before the modern era.

Some of the areas where Indians were experts from ancient era are

  1. Ayurveda : traditional system of medicine

  2. Surgery: The world’s first plastic surgeon was Sushruta

  3. Astronomy: for example the Indians knew the distance between planets, the existence of multiverses etc.  during ancient era

  4. Science: all practices and traditions were founded on deep understanding of science.  They used Aeroplanes and nuclear weapons in ancient times

  5. Mathematics: The discovery of zero is just one of the innumerable contributions of the country to the field

  6. Ancient cities were well planned with good drainage systems too

  7. Music and classical forms of dance and art

However, the simplicity and accommodative nature of the local people have been abused by multiple invasions of various faiths, Sadly wiping out our culture and rich traditions.  But the good always comes to the front sooner or later. The rising awareness of the richness of this land not only within the country but internationally is just proof of this.

Bharat, having been looted, shamed and suppressed for centuries is slowly and steadily rising to its lost glory.

As citizens of this great country we are fortunate to witness and participate in this upliftment.  However, like in all countries there are some negative aspects that hinder progress and development.  Hence we need to be vigilant and work towards elimination of these elements, thus helping the nation reach it’s maximum potential.
